“Start Yadav” Jofra Archer’s old tweet is trending on Twitter amidst DC vs RR clash

England’s Jofra Archer has successfully established himself as one of the mainstays of the England cricket team in his short international career. The 26-year-old belongs to the rare category of the aggressive all-rounders who can wield the bat like an axe and can rattle the opposition bowlers by bowling fiery spells at a quick pace.
Jofra is currently on a sabbatical from the game due to his injuries. The seamer hasn’t donned the England jersey since the England tour of India earlier this year. Despite not playing any form of competitive cricket for a long time, Archer finds himself trending on social media every now and then.
The reason behind the same is the Englishman’s old tweets that keep resurfacing on Twitter. Though Jofra Archer isn’t much active on Twitter these days, there was a time when the 26-year-old was an avid social media user and he kept tweeting random things.

Interestingly, many randoms tweets made by Jofra make sense now as people relate the statement by the seamer to the present happenings in cricket. On Saturday, September 25, something similar happened as an old tweet by Archer made in 2015 started trending on Twitter.
In the old statement, Archer said, “Start Yadav”. Many cricket fanatics connected the statement with the ongoing IPL 2021 match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. Batting first in the match, Delhi found themselves in trouble as they were reeling at 90 for three in 13 overs.
The Capitals were heading towards a low score and need a masterclass from one of the batsmen to save the match. In the 14th over DC batter Lalit Yadav came on the field as the people started asking the spin all-rounder to fire with the willow while giving reference to Archer’s tweet.
