The 18th match of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League is being played at the MCA Stadium in Pune, where the Mumbai Indians team is facing the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mumbai Indians team, looking for the first win this season, started well but in front of RCB team, Mumbai team stumbled in the middle overs and lost 5 wickets in just 12 runs.
From here it seemed that Mumbai’s team would not even be able to cross the 100-run mark, but Suryakumar Yadav came here and once again supported his team and saved it from being reduced to a shameful score.
Suryakumar Yadav made his debut in the last match after recovering from injury and played a half-century and in this match also he maintained his momentum and scored a half-century in the second consecutive innings to take Mumbai’s score past 150. Due to this innings of Suryakumar, Mumbai team scored 151 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav faced 37 balls during this innings and played an unbeaten 68 with 5 fours, 6 sixes. During this innings, Suryakumar Yadav has completed 150 sixes, making his name a big record for sixes in T20 cricket. Suryakumar now has 154 sixes to his name in the T20 format, out of which he has hit 76 sixes during the IPL.

Suryakumar Yadav saved MI after top-order collapse against RCB
After losing the toss, opting to bat first, captain Rohit Sharma (26) and Ishan Kishan (26) made a great start for the Mumbai Indians team, scoring 50 runs in the first 6 overs and putting up a half-century partnership for the first wicket. Here Harshal Patel caught Rohit Sharma on his own ball and sent him back to the pavilion. In this partnership, where Rohit Sharma hit 3 fours, Ishan Kishan scored runs with the help of 4 fours and a six.
From here the team of Mumbai Indians suddenly lost their momentum and lost their 5 wickets within the next 12 runs. Mumbai’s team did not lose a single wicket till 50 runs but by 62 runs half the team had returned. Harshal Patel first sent Rohit back to the pavilion, while Devald Brevis was lbw by Hasaranga. While Akash Deep sent Ishan Kishan back to the pavilion, Tilak Verma was run out by Maxwell and sent back. Kieran Pollard was sent back to the pavilion by Hasaranga after LBW on the very first ball, while Ramandeep Singh, who was debuting there, also became a victim of Harshal Patel.
From here Suryakumar Yadav (68 *) shared an unbeaten 72-run partnership for the 7th wicket with Jaydev Unadkat (13) to take the Mumbai team’s score past 150 and gave a chance to fight on a respectable score. During this innings, Suryakumar Yadav took the team out of the difficult phase by scoring the 15th half-century of his IPL career, while Jaydev Unadkat supported his team by hitting a four. Suryakumar Yadav scored his second half-century of this season in just 32 balls.
