Suryakumar Yadav, the ace batsman for the Mumbai Indians (MI), revealed his favorite Bollywood films on Wednesday. Five-time IPL champions  Mumbai Indians uploaded a relatively short video on their official Twitter handle on Wednesday, in which he was seen having a candid video conversation via MXTakaTak. The clip was 106 seconds long where Surya talked about his taste and preference in Indian movies.

Surya stated in the video that he enjoys watching comedy films above other genres. He feels that comedy movies make him delighted when he returns from a game or when he is bored. “Watching comedy movies makes me really happy when I come back from a game or I am bored and not doing anything,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

Suryakumar also claimed in the short video that he can watch ‘Hera Pheri,’ ‘Chupke Chupke,’ and ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ on repeat because they are some of his favorite Bollywood films.

“I love watching Andaz Apna Apna, Chupke Chupke, Hera Pheri. These are a few of my favorite comedy movies in Bollywood,” added Suryakumar Yadav.

When asked about his favorite scene from Andaz Apna Apna, Surya stated that he recently saw the movie and he enjoys watching the kidnapping scene when Aamir Khan tells Paresh Rawal about his plot.

Suryakumar Yadav had an outstanding 2021 year so far as he earned his national call-up in the T20I series against England owing to his exploits in the IPL. He scored a half-century in his debut innings and is looking to cement his place in the shortest format of the game. Surya performed decently in the now-suspended IPL 2021 scoring 173 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 144.6.

He is now expected to be a part of India’s white-ball tour to Sri Lanka in July. The BCCI haven’t announced the squads yet but Surya looks a sure shot pick in the team.
