In the 47th match of the Indian Premier League 2021, it was Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals who emerged victorious and defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in a must win match by seven wickets with 15 balls remaining. Interestingly, this is the second win for Rajasthan in the second leg of IPL 2021.

Batting first, CSK posted a mammoth total of 189 runs for the loss of just four wickets. Their one of the opening batsmen, Ruturaj Gaikwad, scored 101 runs off just 60 deliveries and was very well supported by Ravindra Jadeja who played a quick fire knock of 32 runs off just 15 deliveries.

In response, RR batsmen didn’t get afraid but instead their openers got them off to a great start. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 50 runs at a strike rate of 238.1 while Even Lewis scored 27 runs in just 12 balls. In addition, Shivam Dube, who was playing his first game today in the second leg of IPL 2021, fired an unbeaten 64 runs on the board off just 42 deliveries and made sure that his team ended on the winning side.

With this victory, Rajasthan Royals have jumped to the sixth place in the points table of IPL 2021. On the other hand, despite the loss, Chennai Super Kings continue to be at the top of the table.
