5 players who can come back in the Indian T20 World Cup squad –
5. UMESH YADAV
What an IPL Umesh Yadav is having. He picked up 8 wickets in the first three matches with an economy rate of 4.91. He even was the purple cap holder for a couple of games. He is still very much in the race for claiming the most number of wickets in the IPL.
The conditions at Australia are perfect for the seamers. Yadav could be a great addition to the side.
Although, playing Shami, Bumrah and Yadav in the same XI won’t be an ideal choice as all three of them don’t provide much prowess with the bat.
Thus he can be an ideal backup for the Indian pace contingent.
4. HARDIK PANDYA
Pandya was criticised a lot during the previous T20 World Cup. The all rounder managed to score just 69 runs and couldn’t pick up a wicket in the last installment of the tournament.
Cut to 2022, Pandya is captaining the Gujarat Titans and he has been continuously impressing with the ball and the bat. He is currently in the race for the Orange cap in the IPL. An in form Pandya could be a great addition for the Indian team.
3. YUZVENDRA CHAHAL
The leg spinner playing for Rajasthan Royals has been sensational this IPL. He is currently the Purple cap holder of the tournament with 17 wickets at an economy of 7.15.
The Indian team can certainly use his prowess with the ball during the World Cup.
2. SHIKHAR DHAWAN
With the availability of Rohit, KL Rahul and Kishan it would be extremely tough for Shikhar to get a spot at the World Cup team.
With 5998 runs in 199 matches under his belt, Shikhar is the second highest run getter in the IPL. He will be looking to hit as many runs as possible to get an opportunity in the team.
1.DINESH KARTHIK
He has been a rock at the RCB middle order. He has played a number of quick fire knocks and could come in handy for the Indian team.
Karthik has helped Bangalore while chasing by scoring quick runs and staying put at the crease when the other batters seemed nervy.
