Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder, has been a key member of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for many years. The 33-year-old was elected captain of the franchise soon before the IPL 2022 season began, after veteran MS Dhoni announced his retirement. In the IPL, Jadeja has appeared in 200 games. With a career average of 27.11, the left-handed batter has scored 2386 runs. In the IPL, the left-arm spinner has 127 wickets to his name.
Manish Pandey (153 matches)
In last year’s IPL, Manish Pandey made his captaincy debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad. After appearing in 153 IPL matches, the right-handed hitter was assigned the role. Pandey’s statistics show that he has scored 3560 runs at an excellent average of 30.69 and that he has a strike rate of 121.83. The 32-year-old will be playing for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022.
Kieron Pollard (137 matches)
Kieron Pollard, an all-rounder with the Mumbai Indians, made his IPL leadership debut in 2019. In Mumbai, Pollard led the team against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). In one contest, the right-handed hitter hammered 83 runs off just 31 balls. The 34-year-old has now appeared in 178 matches for a total of 3268 runs with a stunning strike rate of 149.77.

Ravichandran Ashwin (111 matches)
During the IPL 2018, veteran off-spinner R Ashwin made his captaincy debut for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). The 35-year-old has a total of 167 IPL appearances under his belt, with 145 wickets to his name. With a 6.91 economy, the off-spinner bowls well. Ashwin will now play for Rajasthan Royals, who will be led by skipper Sanju Samson.
Sanju Samson (107 matches)
In IPL 2021, Sanju Samson, a wicketkeeper-batter, made his captaincy debut. It’s worth noting that in his debut match as captain, against Punjab Kings, Samson batted for a century. The right-handed hitter has accumulated 3068 runs with an average of 29.22 in 121 IPL appearances.
