Former Indian Under-19 skipper Unmukt Chand has quickly made a name for himself in the USA cricket fraternity. It won’t be wrong to say that relocating to the United States of America (USA) is proving to be one of the best decisions by Unmukt. The batter is in exceptional form in America as he has been constantly making headlines due to his sensational form with the willow.
It was not long back that the batter had smashed his maiden half-century in the USA. The 28-year-old has now smashed his first century on American soil. Recently, Unmukt Chand’s team Silicon Valley Strikers was up against Austin Athletics during a league game of the Minor League Cricket.
Batting first in the match, Austin were impressive with the willow as they hammered 184 runs while losing nine wickets in 20 overs. It was a big total by Austin but Silicon Valley had nothing to worry about as Unmukt unleashed a beast on the 22-yeard pitch. The right-hander hammered a whopping 131 runs including 15 boundaries and seven maximums.
Unmukt Chand is on fire in the Minor League Cricket
One noteworthy point here is that part from Unmukt, no other Silicon Valley batter could score even 20 runs. The exploits by the former Indian cricketer resulted in his team scripting a victory in an important game by six wickets.
Overall, Unmukt Chand is enjoying a blistering ride in the Minor Cricket League. The 28-year-old is on fire as he has so far smashed a whopping 532 runs in 14 matches at a stunning average of 53.20. However, it is Ravi Inder Singh who is leading the run-scoring charts with 564 runs in 16 matches in the Minor League Cricket.
