Above all, skipper Virat Kohli will be eager to add yet another Test series win in a SENA country to his name. The series will be India’s first in 29 years in South Africa if they manage to win.
Virat Kohli pokes fun at old mate Ishant Sharma
The BCCI took to Twitter to share a glimpse of the team’s journey to South Africa. In the small video, players could be seen having a laugh with their teammates as they gear up for the task at hand. Despite his tensions with the board, Virat Kohli could be seen in a good mood as he decided to poke fun with his old mate Ishant Sharma.
Kohli gave the fans a tour of Ishant’s handbag which apparently had anything a person could think of. The skipper joked that a person could go anywhere in the world if they had Ishant’s bag. The veteran pacer responded hilariously to Kohli’s repeated jibes by saying, “Don’t do all this early in the morning.“
The tour will kick off with the first Test on Boxing Day in Centurion before moving to Johannesburg where the second match of the series will be played from January 3 to January 7. The third Test is set to take place in Cape Town from the 11th of January while the three ODIs are set to be played on January 19, January 21, and January 23.
