[WATCH]: Virat Kohli plucks ball out of thin air; stuns Rishabh Pant with a brilliant one-handed catch

Virat Kohli keeps playing crucial role for RCB. He did something again by taking a spectacular catch to dismiss Delhi Capitals’ Rishabh Pant on Saturday, April 17th at the Wankhede Stadium.

Virat Kohli scored a mere 12 runs while batting. But during RCB’s fielding time, Pant was going great and looked dangerous. But tried to hit towards the boundary off Mohammed Siraj’s delivery when Virat Kohli plucked it out of then air. He jumped high and caught the ball with one hand. Pant was sent back after scoring 34. When Virat Kohli caught the ball, he gestured towards his wife Anushka Sharma who also looked delighted with the catch.

Dinesh Karthik saves RCB’s innings

Meanwhile DC won the toss and opted to field first. RCB started by losing their top batsmen. But it was Glenn Maxwell who fired to save RCB’s poor situation. He scored 55 runs off 34 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. But he gave his wicket to Kuldeep Yadav after which RCB’s score read 92/5.

Then came RCB’s savior in the form of Dinesh Karthik. With 5 fours and 5 sixes, Karthik finished the innings to a competitive 189/5. He scored 66 runs off 34 deliveries. But he was also supported by Shahbaz Ahmed who scored 32 runs off 21 balls with 3 fours and 1 six.

DC responded with David Warner’s impressive 66 runs off 38 deliveries. Apart from Warner, it was only DC captain Rishabh Pant who scored 34 runs in 17 balls. DC failed to add the 16 runs at the end and RCB clenched their win with 8 points in 6 games. They are placed 3rd on the points table while DC are placed 8th after 3 losses.
