WATCH: AB de Villiers mimics Virat Kohli’s aggressive celebration as RCB thumps MI by 54 runs

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t get off to the best of starts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The team succumbed to a poor loss against Kolkata Knight Riders before they were handed a defeat by Chennai Super Kings. However, the team finally bounced back and returned to winning ways in IPL 2021.

RCB delivered a brutal all-round performance to thrash defending champions Mumbai Indians by 54 runs. This was the first time in the history of the Indian Premier League that RCB defeated Mumbai twice in a season. Thus it is no surprise that the victory got all the Bangalore players excited and there was an atmosphere of celebrations in the camp.

Meanwhile, a video from the RCB camp is going viral on social media. The much-hyped clip features the RCB skipper Virat Kohli congratulating the players for their brilliant performance against Mumbai Indians. Kohli also advised the players to not get much excited about the victory and focus on the coming games.

After hearing the advice from the skipper, the former South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman and Kohli’s close friend AB de Villiers made fun of the Delhi-born. AB imitated Virat’s animated reactions on the match field to perfection. The same caused laughing riots in the camp as the Proteas cricketer then went to give the skipper a warm hug.

It was a moment of pride for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli as he reached the milestone of completing a whopping 10,000 runs in the shortest format of the game. Kohli achieved the feat as he played a blistering knock of 51 runs against Mumbai Indians to give his team a perfect start.

Kohli is now the only Indian batter and the second from Asia to complete 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. He is also the leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League with an astonishing 6185 runs to his name from 194 IPL innings.
