Among the best teams in the history of the Indian Premier League is Kolkata Knight Riders. The team has won two titles in the competition, the first coming as a result of beating Chennai Super Kings in 2012 final. After that, they went on to win their second title by beating Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the IPL 2014 final. KKR won both titles under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Since then, their journey has been up and down. Although they qualified for playoffs in some seasons, they never advanced further. However, the two-time IPL champions somehow made it to the finals for the third time. They locked horns with Chennai Super Kings in the finals for the second time but lost the summit clash.

Brendon McCullum, head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, has arrived in Mumbai ahead of the squad’s pre-season camp. The former KKR player will begin his new chapter as a head coach. Former Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer will be looking forward to leading the Kolkata Knight Riders in this Year’s IPL 2022. He has been in a rich vein of form of late. Furthermore, they have signed some top deals as well for the coming season. A few franchises have started hitting the practice courts in order to get ready.

The KKR posted a video of their head coach, Brendon McCullum, and some of their players playing footvolley. In sharing the video on social media, KKR wrote, “Oh man! He’s a KEEPER ?⚽️Back-to-back saves from the head coach. Footie sessions on ?”.

KKR unveil their jersey ahead of the season

A new jersey has been unveiled for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The franchise made the announcement via their social media accounts on Friday (March 18). The Managing Director of the franchise, Venky Mysore as well as the skipper of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side, Shreyas Iyer were present during the launch.

In the Twitter video on the official KKR side’s Twitter account, Iyer presented the jersey and wore it himself. The jersey has gold and purple accents, with the logo of the Kolkata Knight Riders displayed at the top left corner. However, there are some slight changes in the design.

The official Twitter handle of the Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted, “KKR 2022 jersey reveal with Shreyas Iyer.” You can watch the full video of the jersey reveal below.
