WATCH – David Warner experiences pain while sneezing amid rib injury during 2nd Ashes Test

The second Ashes Test match has recently come to an end where the Aussies emerged victorious by 275 runs. With this mammoth win, the hosts have gained a 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match series, making things further difficult for the visiting side.
Australia’s David Warner has played a vital role with his stellar batting performances, behind his team’s success. The southpaw has smashed two 90+ scores – 94 (176) and 95 (167) respectively in the two matches. However, he was earlier likely to sit out in the recently-concluded game owing to a rib injury.
The 35-year-old fought hard with his pain and decided to take the field against the ‘Three Lions’. But a funny incident happened with Warner when he was watching the proceedings of the Adelaide Test alongside Steve Smith and head coach Justin Langer. The left-hander almost fell off the chair while feeling excruciating pain as he sneezed in the dug-out.
Here’s the full video of the incident:
David Warner took painkillers ahead of Adelaide Test
The Sydney cricketer revealed that he took some painkillers before the start of the Day-Night Test match against England. Warner even went on to mention that he’s available for selection as long as he has legs.
“I had a local (anaesthetic) this morning just before I went out to bat. It probably hurt more than what the ribs are at the moment,” David Warner said after smashing 95 in the pink-ball Test.
“I was pretty close (to missing out) but unless I’ve got no leg I’m not going not to walk out on the field. I probably showed that last year. You don’t want to miss a Test match for your country and if I can get out on the park I’ll do everything to do that,” he added.
