David Warner hits Mohammed Hafeez for a six
The second semi-final between Pakistan and Australia is currently underway at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. The Aussies are chasing down the mammoth total of 177 set by the ‘Men in Green’ on Thursday.
The Australian team will heavily depend on opening batter David Warner, who has played two match-winning knocks in the ongoing tournament. The southpaw has already gone past a quick-fire knock of 49 runs and is currently batting well. He has smashed 3 fours and as many sixes against the quality bowling attack of Babar Azam and Co.
David Warner’s innings also consisted of a bizarre shot that came against the bowling of all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez. The incident took place during the first bowl of the eighth over of the second innings. The ball slipped from the bowler’s hand and it bounced twice before reaching the batter. In reply, the 35-year-old made full use of his power to deliver the ball in the stands before the umpire called it a no-ball.

Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman register outstanding fifties
Australia skipper Aaron Finch had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl first in a high-pressure knockout match. The opening pair of Rizwan (67) and Babar (39) provided their side with a great start just like most of the games in this competition. At three, Fakhar Zaman also found his lost mojo back with the bat with a thunderous knock of 55* runs in just 32 balls.
Apart from Adam Zampa, most of the Australian bowlers turned out to have an expensive outing in the middle. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins emerged as the only wicket-takers alongside Zampa against Pakistan.
