Watch: Harmanpreet Kaur takes a blinder against England to dismiss Amy Jones

Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s vice-captain stunned England’s Amy Jones by a sensational catch at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup on Wednesday, March 16, in Bay Oval in Tauranga, New Zealand.

During the overs of the left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Jones tried to hit the ball over mid-on. Harmanpreet Kaur was there to catch it but it looked as if the ball would pass the fielder. But Harmanpreet Kaur jumped and stretched and grabbed the ball with one hand out of thin air.

But after the catch, her knee got stuck on the ground and injury made her leave the field outright. Harmanpreet Kaur’s injury is a blow to the Indian team and the star batter is very crucial for their match against mighty Australia just a day after.

The 33-year-old Kaur also became the second-highest run-scorer for India in Women’s ODI Internationals. She surpassed the record of Anjum Chopra who scored 2856 runs in 127 matches. But Kaur completed the runs in her 115th match. Harmanpreet Kaur scored only 14 runs in this match.
