IPL 2022: [WATCH] Rajvardhan Hangargekar receives batting tips from MS Dhoni, hits huge sixes in the nets

Rajvardhan Hangargekar is the new recruit for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for IPL 2022. He was bought for INR 1.5 crore at the mega auction recently. During the practice session in Surat, Hangargekar was showing off his six-hitting skills at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.

CSK shared a video on its official YouTube channel on Hangargekar. The young star that is “Young colt in Yellove” was showing his batting as well as bowling skills. He was interacting with various members of the team; the fielding coach Rajiv Kumar and also with skipper MS Dhoni. Dhoni was giving the new youngster some batting advice and Hangargekar was hitting massive sixes. The video became a favorite among the fans who got a chance to sneak peek CSK’s training camp.

Will Rajvardhan Hangargekar play the CSK’s opening game agaisnt KKR?

CSK fought with Mumbai Indians to get the young Hangargekar. He represented the Under 19 ICC World Cup 2022 winning team in the Caribbean. While impressing with his all-around performance, he took four wickets and hit some pretty good shots.

The defending champion CSK franchise will play their first game with Kolkata Knight Riders, who also were the runners-up, on the opening day, on March 26, Saturday. Before the season, CSK got a blow from Chahar’s hamstring injury. The franchise fought very hard to get him and bought him for INR 14.25 crores.

Since his replacement is not decided yet, Hangargekar might replace him. But the pressure must be too hard for the youngster to adjust in the first games. It’s not sure if he will be added to the playing X| in the first few games. But Chahar’s unavailability might land him his first game in the IPL 2022.
