Shimron Hetmyer and Dwayne Bravo shared a light moment after DC vs CSk clash on Monday
The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed yet another thriller during match 50 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Monday. In the end, Rishabh Pant and his men kept their cool to register a 3-wickets victory in the ultimate over.
Delhi’s middle-order batter, Shimron Hetmyer, who came in at number seven, looked in great touch as he stayed till the end to finish off the game. The 24-year-old Guyanese cricketer smashed 28* runs off just 18 balls, including 2 fours and a six in a low-scoring game in Dubai.
After the match, Hetmyer was seen jumping on his West Indies teammate, Dwayne Bravo, who also bowled the 20th over of the DC’s innings. Here’s the full video of the incident from the DC versus CSK game in IPL 2021:
Hetmyer comments on Dwayne Bravo’s bowling plans against him
The DC cricketer reckoned that he knew Bravo would go with wide lengths as he had earlier played against him during the recently-concluded edition of Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
“For me it was easy. I had enough practice in the CPL. I knew he [Dwayne Bravo] would go wide with the field he had, and I just looked to get across and go straight down the ground against him and not midwicket or anything. I got two of them, and I am happy with that,” said a buoyant Shimron Hetmyer after the match.
In further interaction, he also commented on his role as a finisher for the Delhi-based franchise in IPL 2021.
“It’s very important for me to finish games. I tell the guys that is what I am paid for, and I try to finish as many games as possible,” added Shimron Hetmyer.
