Kent lift 2021 the T20 Blast trophy
Somerset had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl first in the ultimate game of the league. However, their decision didn’t turn out to be fruitful as Kent went on to post a decent total of 167/7 on the board in their quota of 20 overs. The 20-year-old, Jordan Cox shone with the bat as well as he emerged as the top-scorer for his side. He played a quick-fire knock of 58* runs off just 28 deliveries, including 3 fours and as many sixes.
In reply, Somerset could only manage to score 142 for the loss of nine wickets. Kent bowlers produced an outstanding effort as all of them were able to tick the wickets column. Hence, the Sam Billings-led side registered an easy victory of 25 runs while Jordan Cox was declared as the ‘Player of the Match’.
