In the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), former Indian captain MS Dhoni is preparing to make a comeback while leading his franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), hoping to defend its title. Similarly, Dhoni and his teammates from CSK have arrived in Surat for training and to practice for the upcoming IPL.
It has been announced that IPL 2022 will take place in India from 26 March to 29 May 2022. The first match of Season 15 will be played at Wankhede Stadium on March 26 when Chennai Super Kings face Kolkata Knight Riders. The BCCI added 2 new teams before the IPL 2022 event.
A video from the Super Kings training camp in Surat has managed to stun the cricket enthusiasts and is going viral on social media with many people sharing it on their social media handles. The video features MS Dhoni getting caught off Tushar Deshpande’s bowling.
Tushar Deshpande was picked by CSK
During the IPL 2022 auction, hosted by BCCI on February 12 & 13 in Bangalore, CSK had roped in Tushar Deshpande in their squad at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. The right-arm medium pacer made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2016-17. Tushar has also played in the Duleep Trophy along with the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In first-class cricket, Tushar Deshpande has taken 50 wickets in 20 matches.
Originally from Mumbai, Tushar first got a chance in the 2020 IPL. It was bought by Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals gave him a chance in five matches. He took three wickets. Delhi, however, did not retain him for the 2021 IPL season. He was the Net Bowler of the CSK Team in IPL 2021 Phase-2 which was played in UAE.
