Virat Kohli receives the iconic Guard of Honor by his teammates to commemorate his 100 Test played for India, on Saturday, March 5 in Mohali. He achieved this feat just a day ago and also received a special cap given to him by head coach Rahul Dravid ahead of the match.

Before the start of the second inning, Kohli had already walked onto the field, was stopped by Rohit who told him about the special entry. Kohli was all smiling and raised his hands to thank them. They had formed a parallel line and Kohli sprinted in the middle and received huge claps and cheers of the teammates and the jocund crowd.

The former Indian captain became the only 12th Indian player and 71st overall to have achieved this landmark on Friday for his country. Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Dilip Vengsarkar, Ishant Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, and Anil Kumble have achieved this feat.

“People look at milestones and talk about lots of things which are just a conversation on the outside,” said Virat Kohli.
“If people are not getting to see me getting those big scores game after game, it’s probably their own expectations of me and the standards that have not been set randomly.”
