India’s classical swing bowler Deepak Chahar is yet to be utilized up to his full potential. The seamer’s career has been majorly plagued by injuries and fitness concerns. Chahar made a sensational debut in the first-class cricket for Rajasthan as he bowled a dream spell of eight for ten against Hyderabad.

However, despite showing signs of brilliance early in his cricket career, the Agra-born failed to find a spot in the National Team in the initial days. Multiple rejections resulted in the fast bowler working hard on his skills. Deepak moulded himself into a perfect T20I bowler who could do magic with the new ball and in the death overs as well.

Chahar finally donned the blue jersey in July 2018 during a T20I game against England. Meanwhile, it was in December 2019 that the pacer scripted history. Playing against Bangladesh, Deepak Chahar recorded the figures of six for seven. It was a dream spell by the Indian seamer as he holds the record for the best bowling figures in the shortest format of the game.

Chahar also became Chennai Super Kings’ main bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL) through his consistent performances for the four-time champions.

While Chahar is a known assassin on the field, the UP-born pacer has also clean-bowled Jaya Bhardwaj off the field. The Chennai Super Kings and India pacer got married to Bhardwaj in 2022. In fact, Chahar proposed Jaya during IPL 2021. The two individuals tied the knot on 1 June 2022 in a private ceremony in Agra. The couple has been enjoying there life together since then.

Talking about Jaya, she is also born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. While Jaya earlier worked as a flight attendant, she is currently in Entrepreneurship. Jaya is the Founder and CEO of a fantasy gaming company called Trade Fantasy Game. Bhardwaj is a graduate of Delhi University and has a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
