Deepak Chahar sent social media into a frenzy as he went down on a knee to propose to her lady love Jaya Bhardwaj. Visuals of him proposing to his girlfriend right after the end of an IPL match has been making rounds off late. Moments after Chennai Super Kings’final league game against Punjab Kings concluded in Dubai, Deepak popped the ring to Jaya in the stands.

Delighted by the surprise, Jaya said yes and the couple were seen in each others’ arms as the other family members and the players along with the crowd cheered them on. While the dramatic fashion of the proposal has blown the mind of the viewers, the majority are left scratching their heads over who Jaya, the mystery girl is.

Deepak Chahar’s girlfriend, Jaya Bhardwaj is the sister of Big Boss fame Sidharth Bhardwaj.  She hails from Delhi and works with a corporate firm in the national capital region. Jaya had travelled to Dubai with Deepak and reports suggested the duo had planned a roka ceremony following the tournament. But the Indian pacer had other plans.

“Picture says it all, Need all your blessings #taken” Chahar wrote on Instagram while sharing a couple of pictures of his proposal. He also shared a video of the moment on Instagram, captioning it “Special moment.“

Jaya is actor Sidharth Bhardwaj’s sister and the latter has done TV shows like Bigg Boss 5 and Splitsvilla 2.Chahar made his India debut in July 2018 during a T20I against England in Bristol. Since then, the pacer has played five ODIs and 14 T20Is, taking a combined 26 wickets in them. His elder sister is Malti Chahar who is a model and actor.
