India youngster Shubman Gill and the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar‘s social media activities started the rumors that the two are dating. Though neither of the two has said anything regarding the same, an Instagram photo of Gill on Valentine’s Day in 2023 convinced the netizens that Gill and Sara were indeed in a relationship. And during a chat show, when the Punjab-born was asked whether he is dating Sara, his answer was “Maybe or maybe not“. Well, according to the rumors, the two have parted ways.

Gill is touted as the next big thing in the Indian cricket team. Gill is being considered as the latest prodigy of India’s decorated batting production line. The right-hander made a global statement during the 2018 U19 Wrld Cup as he helped India clinch their fourth U19 title.

Gill, who was the vice-captain of the Indian contingent, smashed a whopping 418 runs at an average of 104.50. The unprecedented success in the ICC event resulted in the batter becoming the hot favorite for the franchises in the Indian Premier League 2018 auction. It was two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders who won the bidding war as they picked the batsman at a staggering amount of INR 1.8 crore.

In his short stint in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gill has emerged as a lynchpin for the franchise. The 23-year-old has a stunning 2751 runs to his credit in 90 IPL matches at an average of 37.68 and a strike rate of 133.48 The much-awaited debut for the Punjab-born in the Indian colors came in 2019 when he played a One Day International against New Zealand.

Though Shubman Gill is a prominent name in India’s domestic circuit and has the best technique among his colleagues, the youngster is yet to prove his credential on the highest stage. He has so far represented India in 15 Test matches and 24 One Day Internationals scoring 890 and 1311 runs at an average of 34.23 and 65.55 respectively.
