England’s Tammy Beaumont scored her maiden double century during the 1st Women’s Ashes Test. Beaumont bettered her previous score of 70 by scoring a scintillating and masterful double hundred in Nottingham. She joined former India captain Mithali Raj in an elite list and became the 8th woman cricketer to score a double hundred in Tests.

It is interesting to note that Tammy Beaumont’s double hundred was indeed ‘record-breaking.’ With the most fours in an English inning (26), she holds the fifth-highest Test score in the history of women’s Tests.
