Juventus suffered a horrible 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Fiorentina and it was Cristiano Ronaldo’s first home defeat and also Andrea Pirlo’s first defeat of his season. This was Fiorentina’s first away victory against Juventus in 12 years and the latter’s heaviest home defeat since January 2011. Manager Andrea Pirlo slammed the team’s attitude as they find themselves 7 points behind AC Milan.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonardo Bonucci apologize for bad performance

Dusan Vlahovic scored in the 3rd minute and things went from bad to worse for Juventus when Juan Cuadrado was sent off in the 18th minute. Alex Sandro scored an own goal in the 76th minute and Martin Caceres ended the match when he added a third goal. As a result Juventus found themselves 7 points behind leaders AC Milan at the end of 2020.

Cristiano Ronaldo in a lengthy post described how the schedule of 2020 was heavily demanding but that didn’t excuse their performance. He hoped that the break ahead of them would enable them to get adequate rest to recharge themselves and go at it again next year. He said that the season was far from over and also appealed to the fans to trust in them as the club trusted in them.
