Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his iconic ‘SIUU’ celebration after scoring every goal. The Portuguese legend, however, recently opted to celebrate in a different way as he scored against Al-Ettifaq on Friday. As fans attempted to decode the meaning of the celebration, several reports stated that he aimed it towards Cristiano Jr.
Cristiano Ronaldo helped his side win 3-0 in the Saudi Pro League as his side rose to fourth in League standings. His contribution in the game, however, was limited to a goal from the penalty spot. Ronaldo stepped up in the 31st minute of the game as the referee awarded a penalty for his side after Sultan Al-Ghannam was fouled inside the box. Ronaldo sent the keeper the wrong way as he added to his tally with a cheeky panenka shot.
As he ran to celebrate, cameras spotted the No.7 pointing to the stands. Later, it was made clear that the 39-year-old held up three fingers toward Cristiano Jr. as he scored a brace for the youth team earlier this week.
Fans reacted to the same as they celebrated a combined hat-trick from father and son. Ronaldo is currently on 3 goals and an assist for Al-Nassr since the start of the season.
Al-Nassr start life under new boss Stefano Pioli with 3-0 win
Al-Nassr recently appointed former Inter Milan manager Stefano Pioli after the club struggled to churn out results under Luis Castro. The club were winless in their last two matches and had only won two of their last twelve games. However, the 3-0 win over Al-Ettifaq came as a breath of fresh air for fans, as they hoped for more of the same under the Italian. After making his contribution from the spot, Ronaldo celebrated the win by dedicating it to the fans.

After the first goal, Salem Alnajdi doubled their advantage with a cheeky finish over the keeper. His slight dink over a rushing Marek Rodak gave the visitors control over the game at the start of the second half. Anderson Talisca sealed the deal in the 70th minute, when the Brazilian found the net from an inviting cutback inside a crowded penalty area.
Following the win, Al-Nassr are now on 8 points from their opening four games. Rivals Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad are second and first, respectively, despite being tied at 9 points. The Faris Najd play their next game on Monday in the King’s Cup against Al-Hazem.
