Nobody does it better than Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to silencing the haters. The 39-year-old stunned the global audience on Friday night as he scored an unbelievable bicycle kick against Poland in a 5-1 win for his side. Following the goal, fans celebrated excitedly on social media as comparisons between him and eternal rival Lionel Messi took center stage.
Portugal made easy work of Poland in their Nations League clash, thanks to goals from Ronaldo, Pedro Neto, Bruno Fernandes and Rafael Leao. The men in red were already 4-0 up in the 87th minute, when a lofted ball from Vitinha found the veteran striker at the far post. With an improvised finish, Ronaldo stunned the home crowd.
Unable to turn himself in time to make contact with the ball, Ronaldo opted to acrobatically put the ball in the net. His bicycle finish caught out Marcin Bulka by surprise, as the ball made it’s way past the keeper.

With the win, Portugal are now top of Group 1 League A. 13 points from their first five games means that Portugal have already qualified for the knockout stages.
This, in turn, will see several top players including Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva return to their clubs. Portugal boss Roberto Martinez will call up Fabio Silva and Geovany Quenda as their replacement.
