Cristiano Ronaldo is still in great shape for a 39-year-old. The Portuguese veteran currently plies his trade with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and aims to hit 1000 goals before hanging up his boots. Not only that, the forward has also expressed his desire to play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This decision might not sit well with others due to his poor performance in the latest Euro competition. As such, former Liverpool star Dietmar Hamann gave the forward a brutal ‘reality check’ as he spoke about the Al-Nassr forward.
The Liverpool legend also pointed out how the No.7 threw a tantrum at the end of the goalless draw against Scotland during the International break. Dietmar Hamann also added that Portugal can easily win their games without the 39-year-old being part of the team. As things stand, Ronaldo is on 907 goals and 255 assists.

He is the only player to hit the 900-goal mark and will not rest till his goal tally reaches four digits. Al-Nassr recently claimed a 1-0 win as Ronaldo failed to score or assist during the game. Only time will tell if the five-time UCL winner can achieve the impossible when it’s all said and done.
Lionel Messi claims spectacular record that is ‘impossible’ for Cristiano Ronaldo to achieve
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been the center of a debate that has been going on for the larger part of two decades. Recently, Messi made headlines as he scored consecutive hat-tricks for Argentina and Inter Miami, making him the all-time top scorer for the MLS club. Messi is now the all-time leading goal scorer for a record three sides – Barcelona (672), Argentina (112) and now Miami (33).
Conversely, Ronaldo leads the all-time goal-scoring list at Real Madrid (450) and Portugal (133). The veteran could not claim the titles at Juventus, Sporting, and Manchester United. Juventus and United have a rich history. He needed to play at least a decade to achieve that record. Meanwhile, he left Sporting at a young age.

As for his current club Al-Nassr, Majed Abdullah currently holds the record at 259. It is highly unlikely that the 39-year-old will chase down that number in his time with the Saudi club. Nevertheless, he still aims to reach the 1000-goal mark before it’s all said and done.
