Cristiano Ronaldo is an international icon. The Portuguese superstar is the most followed personality on Instagram, with over 635 million followers. His influence was once again on show in the global stage as Portuguese track athletes Rui Oliveira and Iuri Leitao claimed Gold in Paris.
The duo claimed an unforgettable Gold medal at Paris Olympics 2024 after finishing first in track cycling. Much to the surprise of many, Ronaldo’s iconic ‘SIUUU’ was on display at the trophy podium. The cycling duo hit the Al-Nassr captain’s classic celebration, which was warmly welcomed by fans on social media.
Fans commented that the 39-year-old’s influence was still unmatched and will not be eclipsed by another footballer. Ronaldo congratulated Rui Oliveira on X after the latter urged netizens to make sure that his post ‘reached his idol’.
The Portugal captain has rejoined the Saudi Arabian outfit after spending time off following Euro 2024. He is however, yet to play a game game for the Saudi club. Al-Nassr kick off their League campaign against Al-Raed on the 22nd of August.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo, the No.7 is still under contract till the summer of 2025, with rumors that he will push to appear at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Al-Nassr have lost out to both Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad in their pursuit of domestic glory in the last two seasons. Fans are hoping that the forward can finally inspire his team to the title after all the reinforcements they’ve brought in from across Europe recently.
