Not just the tennis fraternity, even great sportsmen indulge in GOAT (Greatest of All Time) discussions. In a video, Portuguese football great Cristiano Rolando had to pick the GOAT between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
Ronaldo, who launched his YouTube channel on Wednesday (August 21) was picking his ‘passions’ in the ‘This or That’ challenge, gave a different reaction when the names of Nadal and Djokovic appeared. Ronaldo was bending toward one of the options when the names of the sports or his idols were mentioned but took some time as if to think who his favorite between Nadal and Djokovic was. The 39-year-old Al-Nassr captain bent forward and picked both as his idols.
Djokovic has the most number of Grand Slam titles in men’s tennis, having lifted 24 of them. He recently completed his Career Golden Slam after winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
Nadal on the other hand is second on the list with 22 Majors. While Djokovic has no plans to bid farewell to tennis, Nadal is contemplating retirement amidst his constant form and fitness issues.
Chris Evert predicts when Novak Djokovic will retire
Novak Djokovic, after scripting history at the Paris Olympics, skipped the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open and will enter the US Open without any match practice on hard court. The US Open gets underway on August 26 and if Djokovic wins the title, it will be his 25th Grand Slam trophy.

Djokovic has often expressed his desire to play at the 2028 Olympics. However, Chris Evert, who has won 18 major titles in singles, believes if Djokovic breaks the all-time record at Flushing Meadows, he will hang up his boots.
I think if he wins the 25th major, I would think that he would leave the game. He’d break that tie with Margaret Court. I would allow him to retire after that. OK, you have everybody in the world’s permission to retire. That would be epic if he could do that.Chris Evert said on an ESPN conference call
Djokovic is the reigning US Open champion, having lifted his 24th Major last year by beating Daniil Medvedev. Last year, the US Open was one of the three Grand Slam titles he won, missing only the Wimbledon which Carlos Alcaraz lifted with a five-set win over the 37-year-old in the final.
