Portugal cruise past Turkiye in exciting Group F clash

Cristiano Ronaldo and co. took on Turkiye in their second group stage match in Group F. Portugal’s second goal of the game was a gift from their opposition as Samet Akaydin played the ball to his goalkeeper, who was well out of his area. Ronaldo made it look easy for Portugal’s third, as he unselfishly laid the ball off for Bruno Fernandes, who made no mistake to tap the ball into an empty net.

Despite not being able to score a goal in this year’s competition, the forward’s assist for Fernandes put him at the very top under that department. Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa did exceptionally well to keep out Turkiye strikers on the few occasions they made an attempt on goal. His exceptional save against Kerem Akturkoglu was praised by fans on social media.
