Portuguese star and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed the identity of the ‘surprise’ guest on his YouTube channel, vowing to ‘break the internet’. Ronaldo unveiled a 14-minute long video with YouTube celebrity MrBeast on ‘UR Cristiano’. 

Cristiano Ronaldo recently put his footsteps into the media world. He formally announced the launch of his new YouTube channel ‘UR Cristiano’ in August 2024. It shattered records soon after, becoming the fastest to reach 50 million subscribers. Ronaldo now boasts over 67 million subscribers, and in an attempt to woo followers, he made a stunning announcement earlier this week. The 39-year-old superstar on a podcast with Rio Ferdinand, teased fans by stating that his next guest would be a well-known figure, creating a stir on the internet.

To follow up with his announcement, Ronaldo’s channel shared a teaser video, revealing the identity of the undisclosed guest. It turned out to be YouTube sensation, MrBeast, a.k.a Stephen ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson. The American media personality boasts the record number of YouTube subscribers, a staggering 331 million. The episode, which has already amassed five million views, features the two stars interacting. It also featured Ronaldo being asked about how he plans to beat MrBeast in terms of subscribers count.

Donaldson is vastly known for his videos featuring challenges and as well as charitable exploits. It would be tough for anyone to reach close to popularity on YouTube. Meanwhile, following the release of his new video, Ronaldo will now have to turn his attention towards Al-Nassr, who play Al-Khaleej next.

Cristiano Ronaldo plans to ‘delay’ retirement to play alongside his son

Speaking to American YouTube personality MrBeast in a recent interaction, Cristiano Ronaldo hinted that he might delay his retirement to play alongside his son, Cristiano Jr. in the future. His son, who has already turned 14, could soon follow in his father’s footsteps.

Ronaldo, who currently plies his trade in the Saudi PL, opened up about his future. He also discussed with MrBeast, about his family aspirations. In one such moment, he was questioned about the possibility of playing with his son. Ronaldo responded that it would depend on how fit he remains until his son’s playing days. This has left internet speculating that the father-son might soon turn up together.

MrBeast also pointed to NBA legend LeBron James, who played along with his son. Cristiano Jr. has been training at various academies all around the world, having spent time at Real Madrid, Man Utd and Juventus. It remains to be seen when he turns up in professional football.
