Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have combined together for the 17th time in the Premier League

Liverpool put Crystal Palace to the sword in their home and went out outright victors as they took back their goal difference. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino chipped in with two goals each as Takumi Minamino got his first goal for the club a year after signing for the club. Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson scored once each as Liverpool won emphatically by 7 goals.

3. Roberto Firmino has got back his groove

The Roberto Firmino that played today and against Tottenham is the player who is supposed to keep Diogo Jota out of the team. The latter was signed from Wolves to play as a back-up forward for Liverpool who will give the established frontline a rest. However a dip in form for Roberto Firmino meant that Jota took a starting position and made it his too. A hat-trick against Atalanta and winning goals against West Ham and Sheffield United meant that Klopp had to choose Jota over Firmino.

However ever since Diogo Jota picked up an injury, Roberto Firmino has gone back to his best and has scored 3 goals in two matches. Each of them has been vital as his 90th minute goal against Tottenham and the subsequent 90 yard run to the Kop to celebrate is still fresh in the fans mind. He continued his form today against Crystal Palace and got two goals with assists from Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah

2. Mohamed Salah tipped to break his own record of 32 goals

Mo Salah is leading the goal charts for Liverpool for the third successive year and will keep breaking records for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has 13 goals from 13 appearances out of 14 playable matches and scores once in 83 minutes. He has gone about quietly doing his job and has been a victim of his own success sometimes as the standards are too high. Mohamed Salah scored 32 goals in a 38 game season and is the current record holder for the highest goals in a single Premier League season. Now he is poised to break his own record as he needs 20 goals more from the remaining 24 matches to do the same.

This man is simply not human and has kept breaking records despite being the most disrespected player in the league. It is high time that Mohamed Salah is considered to be the greatest foreign player to have played in the Premier League and also as one of the greatest wingers.

1. Liverpool threatening to run away with the league….again

Liverpool still don’t have the services of Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota as they suffer from injuries. Joe Gomez, James Milner, Xherdan Shaqiri are also missing and have different periods of recovery. However, this Liverpool missing these 6 players still sit top of the league having just put 7 past a Crystal Palace side. Their away form hasn’t been the best this season but they’ve made a difference here as Crystal Palace was destroyed today.

Mohamed Salah was benched for the first half today and got 40 minutes to play in the second half. He scored two goals and delivered an outrageous assist to Roberto Firmino. Sadio Mane was replaced by him and Mane will be raring to go against West Bromwich Albion 8 days from here now. Jurgen Klopp has the greatest Liverpool squad of the last two decades in his hands and can only go from strength to strength now!
