Cricket World Cup 2023: Kolkata man ARRESTED for illegally selling India vs South Africa match tickets for Rs 11,000 each

India and South Africa are set to lock horns on November 5 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Reports are coming that a man from Kolkata was arrested for illegally selling tickets.
As per a report by ANI, the man, Ankit Agarwal was selling tickets originally worth Rs 2500 at Rs 11,000 each. Kolkata police seized a total of 20 tickets from him. Previously, another man was arrested for selling fake tickets for India’s match against England at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.
India and South Africa have been enjoying a sensational World Cup campaign. And while India are yet to lose a match out of the six they have played so far, South Africa got hammered by the Netherlands. Both India and South Africa are occupying the first and second spots on the points table.
Graeme Smith says India vs South Africa final will be a blockbuster
Former South African skipper Graeme Smith expressed his desire to see the Proteas square off against India in the final of the World Cup. Smith said he is heading back to his country on Wednesday but will come back to India and book a hotel in Ahmedabad if the host team plays South Africa in the summit clash. The final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
I'm hoping (they meet) in the final! I'm heading back to South Africa on Wednesday, but if South Africa gets to the final, we'll have to be clamoring for tickets and try to get a hotel in Ahmedabad.Smith said during an interview with TOI
For Smith, the Temba Bavuma-led side are the favorites to win the tournament. He said though India are the team to beat in this tournament because of the incredible game they are playing, his heart will always want the Proteas to win the coveted cup. South Africa are yet to win a World Cup.
