Rohit is currently with the Indian team for the 2023 ODI World Cup. He started the tournament with a duck against Australia but since then, his innings have been nothing short of praiseworthy, given that he has been making a mockery of the opponent bowlers with his power hitting.

How has Rohit Sharma performed in the ODI World Cup for India till now?

As said before, Rohit Sharma started with a duck, before scoring a blazing 131 against Afghanistan. He then earned praise from all Indian fans when he played an 86-run knock against Pakistan, the most as an Indian batter.

In the next two matches, he missed scoring his fifties by falling on 48 and 46 runs against Bangladesh and New Zealand respectively. India then faced England; and at first, it looked like the Men in Blue would lose the match because they were losing wickets on a regular basis. But Rohit played the captain’s innings, scoring 87 runs.

During the tournament, he even went past Chris Gayle to smack the most sixes in international cricket, as well as became the second Indian batter to reach 1000 runs this year. He will be next seen on the field when India will lock horns with Sri Lanka on October 3 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
