Dak Prescott aims Playoffs success after breaking Tony Romo’s TD-passes record

Dak Prescott starred for the Dallas Cowboys in their massive 51-26 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles and wants to continue his form as the boys wait patiently to find out their playoff opponents.

The veteran quarterback recorded 5 Touchdown passes as he led his side to the win, as he recorded his career-best stats while also breaking Tony Romo’s franchise record for most TD passes in a single season.

Tony Romo had 36 touchdown passes in 2007, which Dak Prescott overcame with a simple 8-year throw to Corey Clement in the third quarter of the match. Prescott, 28, has now 37 touchdown passes this season.

After breaking the Dallas Cowboys record, Dak Prescott had not realised the feat he achieved, even though he received congratulatory messages from several coaches on the park.

“I thought they were saying congrats for five touchdowns, to be honest,” Prescott said on his 5th Touchdown pass for the Dallas Cowboys. He also did not shy away from the fact the record came for him at an apparent lull phase in his personal career.

“I mean, if I wasn’t in (a slump), I guess I could’ve done it a while back,” Prescott acknowledged.

“None of that matters anymore,” Prescott doesn’t want to focus on his personal records

“But, yeah, I mean it’s pretty cool. It’s pretty cool to get a record like that. I mean obviously knowing who’s come before me and who played the position here before me. I’m just the beneficiary of a lot of hard work, playcalling, offensive line protecting and a bunch of different guys making plays.”

Prescott also vowed to not rest on his laurels and continue the hard yards as the postseason is all set to start. He knows that personal stats and records would mean nothing in the end if they fail to win the competition.
