The celebrations have just started for the Philadelphia Eagles after they won Super Bowl LIX. Jalen Hurts and his team thumped Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on their way to win Eagles second ever Lombardi Trophy. All this while Dak Prescott and his Dallas Cowboys watched the game from their homes.
Prescott’s teammate Micah Parsons bizarrely claimed that with the current personnel, they are good enough to win a ring. That notion was shut down as the team despite being healthy earlier in the season struggled to win against playoff teams.
Then owner Jerry Jones added fuel to the fire when he suggested that he paid his quarterback $60 million so that he can win a Super Bowl. Now when that highest paid player in NFL history was available for a comment, ESPN’s Todd Archer asked him about their Super Bowl chances.

Dak Prescott acknowledged that the Philadelphia Eagles how a dominating football team can win it all. He believes the Dallas Cowboys are close to that. His belief stems from the fact that they have beat the newest Super Bowl champions earlier this season. That gives him the indication that he and his team are ready.
Former Cowboys star in disbelief after hearing Dak Prescott’s comments
When former Dallas Cowboys star Marcus Spears heard these comments on ESPN’s NFL Live, it took a while for him to come out of his obvious show of disappointment. He then said this about the current situation his former team is in.
The former defensive tackle mentioned that if these words came from Micah Parsons, it would have made sense. But for Dak Prescott to say it, made him shake his head. His Cowboys are far from being close to the dominant Eagles.
To compare themselves to the Super Bowl champions was indeed bizarre. Spears wants Prescott to air out his actual feelings and ask Jerry Jones for proper roster upgrades. Else they will never even reach the Championship game.
