The Dallas Cowboys discourse continues as memories of the embarrassing blowout loss of last week has ruffled a lot of feathers. As it is their bye week, the media is not covering the team as much. Therefore, the discussions are mainly from analysts and fans.
With the way Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and his teammates fared against the Detroit Lions, newly appointed analyst Cam Newton has figured out what is missing.
The former league MVP appeared for his first official in studio gig. Talking about the Dallas Cowboys, he started off the discussion with a few loud reenactments of barks.
That’s what we need in Dallas. Some dogs! I only see one of them. We need some dogs on the offensive side of the ball. What I will tell you is this, can somebody else take over a game other than CeeDee Lamb on the Cowboys offense?

Cam Newton feels that the entire Dallas team lacks the attitude needed to win at all costs. But more so is the offense, as they lack anybody who can terrorize the opposition defenses.

He gave the example of CeeDee Lamb as being the only player on the Dallas Cowboys offense who is elite. The rest are not, which means defenses can scheme to take Lamb out and they have a field day with the rest. That leads to pressure on Dak Prescott to perform even though he does not have the weapons necessary.
Newton also mentioned that the lack of high attitude players on offense has made them passive. Lamb may have made his frustrations felt, but there is no one else to demand from their teammates to play better. That explains why they were thumped by the Dan Campbell’s men.
Cam Newton is happy with CeeDee Lamb
Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman had sounded out recently about what he saw as lackluster play from Lamb and the receivers. But Cam Newton had a different perspective.
I’ve been extremely pleased with CeeDee Lamb this year. I don’t know what Troy Aikman is talking about. I can’t confirm nor deny what he said is factual.

Lamb has impressed Newton so far this season. As the rest of the receiving core have not played up to their potential, the onus has fallen on the star wideout.
The first-time analyst emphasized that the team lacks players who want to win. The recently extended Lamb has almost the same production as three of his receiving buddies. That lopsided production helps opponent’s scheme accordingly.
So, Cam Newton did not see Troy Aikman eye-to-eye with his blame on the All-Pro for what is a collective problem. The team needs to improve collectively. Else the Cowboys will continue to struggle against top teams.
