Dak Prescott injured his hamstring while playing the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback did not return to the game.
Prescott’s lack of using his feet has been an issue for the Cowboys ever since he hurt his ankle a couple of years ago. It forces him to rely on his arm talent more than usual, inviting more sacks.
Before playing the Falcons on Sunday, the 31-year-old had fewer yards on the ground than Aaron Rodgers, Andy Dalton, and Joe Flacco. He improved on it with a 22-yard (his longest of the season) run in the first half.

That run left a lingering sensation in Prescott’s legs. It came back to haunt him later on, shortly before the end of the third quarter. With the Cowboys trailing by 11 points, the Pro Bowler dropped back and looked for an open receiver, but a Falcons corner batted it away.

As the referee blew the whistle, the FOX Sports cameras focused their gaze on Dak Prescott, who remained still and tried to put pressure on his left leg. Then he hobbled off the field and did not return to the game.
Dak Prescott also hurt his throwing hand
Cooper Rush took over for the remainder of the night and threw a touchdown to reduce the score deep in the fourth quarter. It wasn’t enough for the Cowboys to salvage a win. They succumbed to a 21-27 defeat. It was their third straight loss of the season, and now they find themselves 3-5 after nine weeks of football.
After a long evaluation, sideline reporters revealed that Prescott pulled his hamstring. Apart from his hamstring issues, Prescott also hurt his throwing hand. Cameras zoomed in while he received treatment on the bench. There appeared to be a big cut in between his ring and pinky finger.

According to Cowboys beat writer Calvin Watkins, Prescott will undergo an MRI to understand the situation better. Despite the knock, he reminded everyone,“It would take a lot for me not to be out there.”
Fortunately, the image shows no visible injuries or any bandages wrapped on his right hand.

The Cowboys have a couple of tough ties coming up after this defeat.
First, it’s a showdown against divisional rivals the Philadelphia Eagles and then neighbors the Houston Texans. Even though both games are at Arlington, the Cowboys are no longer the force they used to be at home.
