Dak Prescott disappeared from the NFL MVP race due to back-to-back disappointing results. However, Prescott’s 4-touchdown outing against the Las Vegas Raiders may spark a late push for the prestigious title.
The Dallas Cowboys traveled to Sin City to play the struggling Raiders. They weren’t in a great position either. Losses to the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals left them with three wins from nine.
Prescott’s pass completion percentage dropped from the mid-70s to the low 60s. Moreover, he threw just one touchdown compared to three interceptions.
This all changed at Allegiant Stadium in Week 11. Despite turning the ball over and playing without CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens in the first drive, Prescott orchestrated four touchdown plays.
Lamb, Pickens, Hunter Luepke, and Ryan Flournoy each caught a touchdown pass from the 32-year-old signal caller. The Cowboys won 33-16 and improved their record to 4-5-1.
Prescott finished the game with 25 completions from 33 pass attempts for 268 passing yards (8.1 yards per throw), 4 touchdowns, zero interceptions, 138.6 passer rating, and 1 sack.
This was Prescott’s second 4-touchdown haul this year, his first since the 37-22 win against the New York Jets in week 5. His season’s tally improved to 22 total touchdowns and 6 picks, out of which he has 18 passing touchdowns and 3 picks in the last 7 games.

Dak Prescott gave tribute to former Cowboy Marshawn Kneeland
A week ago, the football world met with the tragic passing of Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland who allegedly took his own life as he battled mental health issues. Ahead of the game at Allegiant Stadium, Prescott and several Cowboys players gathered to mourn their fallen brother’s passing before taking the field.

Prescott dedicated the win to Kneeland and his family as he joined ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt for the postgame show. He talked about vulnerability and its part of the America’s Game.
Being vulnerable is not necessarily about being weak, but it’s about being vulnerable. To show courage, you have to show some kind of weakness that you need to overcome. It was just time for us to gather together and understand that this game is bigger. It’s about life and the connection we make, the brotherhoods the friendships. We’ve got to be their for each other, on the field, off the field. And Marshawn was such a kind, loving, sweet soul that [his death] hurt. It hurt everybody. Face that grief and use that as strength for us to move forward.

The Cowboys need that strength to muster a late push for the playoffs via wild card. They play back to back games against last year’s Super Bowl finalists, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Prescott’s return to form is a good sign for Dallas. However, they beat the Raiders, a team that has only 2 wins all year. Eagles and Chiefs are completely different propositions.
Cowboys played the Eagles in week 1, that ended in a 24-20 win for the team from Philly. Prescott recorded zero touchdowns but set up running back JaVonte Williams for 2 scores on the ground.
