Over the last one and a half decade, NASCAR has been working to facilitate entry of another Original Engine Manufacturer to the sport. Recent reports suggests that iconic car brand Dodge that has raced in NASCAR go decades in the past is set for a comeback with Truck Series entry in 2026 and Cup series entry in 2027 or 2028.
The racing community is excited about the brands potential return and recently Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. shared his feelings via social media. He highlighted the reputation Dodge has in the racing community and how they have been building true muscle cars over the yeas such as the chargers from the 70’s.
Dodge has got such a cool reputation. They’ve had some ups and downs over the past several decades, but in my eyes, they’re still a true muscle car brand. The Dodge Charger from the 70s, a beautiful vehicle, historic.

He also highlighted the iconic status the Challenger and The Ram brands from Dodge has. All this makes the potential return thrilling for Dale Jr. and he is hoping the move would be successful, as it will be good for the sport.
The Challenger, a lot of great vehicles come out of that brand. The Ram. Yeah, the Ram truck. Yeah, it’s just a cool brand. I’m thrilled that they’re considering a return, and I hope it’s a successful one, to be honest with you. It’s good for the sport, I think.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. shared his feelings about Atlanta race controversy
One of the biggest controversies from the Atlanta Motor Speedway race last Sunday was the timing of caution. The race community is furious over the inconsistency of calling cautions, after NASCAR waved the yellow flag on the final lap of the race unlike at Daytona 500. Though it was the right call for the safety of driver, not everyone feels that way.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. shared his feelings about the situation and declared that he is unbothered by how the race ended. He asserted that NASCAR dd the right thing to keep racer safe as he knows the chaos that was waiting if they let the race continue.
Honestly, I was totally unbothered by how the Cup race ended. I don’t not have eyes on the back straightaway to know if somebody’s sitting broadside in the racetrack, but I’ve seen enough things in the 30 years I’ve been around this sport to know if there’s even the potential of that it’s deadly. We don’t even need to have that conversation, and we don’t even need to make it guesswork.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.
The comments from Junior are reasonable and something the critics of the race should listen to. NASCAR made the right call on Sunday and the fans should give them props for it, inspiring them to keep the same standard for the remaining races of the season.
