His mind-blowing records especially in test cricket speak for themselves and solidify him as an icon of the game.
Recently, Steyn was in the news for comments that he made comparing the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He had stated that the latter league was more rewarding and cricket-oriented as compared to the cash-rich IPL. His comments were received with backlash from the Indian fans and Steyn soon took to Twitter to apologize and state that he meant no disrespect to the IPL.

Dale Steyn is among the more active cricketers on Twitter. He has regular question and answer session with his fans. He had one such session yesterday and in the same, he was asked as to which team was his favorite in the IPL. Despite having played for franchises like the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers, he did choose them. Firstly he dodged the question by stating that all teams were his favorite before leaning towards the Mumbai Indians.
Steyn wrote, “All teams, but Mumbai seem to have a solid thing going. QDK also one of my favorite players so always support him too.” This reply has now gone viral on social media.
