Dale Steyn shows off his collection of balls received as souvenir for five-wicket hauls

South African fast-bowler Dale Steyn is among the most feared fast-bowlers in world cricket. At his peak, Steyn’s express quick deliveries were nearly unplayable. A plethora of batsmen like Shane Watson and Mike Hussey have named Steyn as the most difficult bowler they’ve ever faced.
The 37-year-old pacer has picked up a whopping amount of 439 wickets from just 93 Test matches. In ODIs, he has 196 wickets from 125 matches to his name. His T20I record of 64 wickets from 47 games further proves what an all-format master Steyn was. The right-arm quick also has 29 five-wicket hauls in international cricket.
An aggressive pacer who could swing the ball even at speeds above 150 kmph, his speed and movement have greatly dimished now. But Steyn will forever remain a great of the game.
Steyn’s collection of souvenir balls
As aforementioned, Steyn has 29 five-wicket hauls to his name (26 in Tests and 3 in ODIs). He has also picked up 5 ten-wicket hauls in a Test match. As is the custom in cricket, the bowler who picks up a five or a ten-wicket haul will walk home with the match ball as a souvenir.
Dale Steyn took to Instagram today to showcase his collection of souvenir balls that he picked up during his illustrious career. The collection contained 3 white balls while the rest were red balls where Steyn was a master of the craft of picking up wickets.
