Dallas sports fans are still upset after the Mavericks traded away Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. There were rumors of Micah Parsons facing a similar fate after he expressed his frustration at not getting a contract extension from the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys’ star pass rusher wanted to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league, and owner Jerry Jones was fine with it. But apparently, Parsons’ agent made some comments that the billionaire did not appreciate.

That led the four-time Pro Bowler to delete everything related to the Cowboys from his social media. Despite that, Dallas fans were hopeful that a deal would materialize soon.

ESPN Sources: Cowboys are trading three-time All-Pro LB Micah Packers to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons and the Packers already have reached agreement on a four-year, $188 million contract.

The Green Bay Packers sent two 1st-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark to land the 26-year-old star. This trade sent shockwaves through not just the NFL but also through the NBA and other sports leagues.

It has not even been 6 whole months since Luka Doncic was traded away. At the time, no one believed ESPN’s Shams Charania, with some asking if his X account was hacked.

But it soon became a reality, and Mavericks fans have since been the barbarians at the gates. Mavs GM Nico Harrison received death threats, and majority owner Patrick Dumont was booed inside American Airlines Arena.

That trade was a blind side hit to Dallas sports fans. It made it to the top of the most shocking trades in sports history, bringing all athletes, fans, and celebrities together in an unprecedented manner.

That is what sports aficionados latched onto, and they took to social media to rub salt into the Dallas sports fans’ wounds. They believe the city has two lackluster organizations that are making some of the worst decisions.

No one would envision a pair of teams from the same city to trade away their best players in a matter of 6 months. They believe Dallas sports fans are cursed and might never get to taste success again. Check out examples of those reactions below.

After his trade, fans gravitated towards Luka Doncic more than ever and blamed the Dallas Mavericks and GM Nico Harrison for their decision to let him go. Considering how fans feel about Jerry Jones, his decision to trade away Micah Parsons might elicit a similar reaction.

Micah Parsons’ return to Dallas could have similar impact as Luka Doncic

Micah Parsons will now suit up for the Green Bay Packers after landing a monster contract. It should be something when he and his new teammates make the trip to Texas to take on his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, exactly a month from now.

When Luka Doncic returned to play against his former team, Dallas Mavericks fans ended up supporting and chanting his name. The Slovenian superstar shed tears, knowing the team essentially pushed him out.

Millions of viewers tuned in to watch the superstar torch his former team with 45 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. That night was all about their former superstar.

Just as ticket prices for that game went through the roof, expect fans to queue up for the September 28th clash at AT&T Stadium. If Parsons has a career game against his former team, sports fans will be looking to see how Cowboys faithful respond.
