Dallas Goedert hasn’t had too many opportunities to showcase his ball-carrying skills this season as the quarterback Jalen Hurts, has relied heavily on running back Saquon Barkley to take care of the heavy lifting. However, when the Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end was tasked to make something happen on the Playoff Sunday, he passed with flying colors.

The NFC wild card fixture between the Eagles and the Green Bay Packers started off as a cagey affair, with both quarterbacks throwing stray passes. As per the norm, the running backs became the focal point as the time passed.

With under four minutes left until the end of the fourth quarter, the Eagles led the tie 3-10. Hurts threw a check-down pass to Dallas Goedert, who adjusted his body to catch the pass which was thrown behind him. After doing a 360, Goedert ran toward the Packers’ red zone only to be impeded by defensive back Carrington Valentine.

Fans on social media massively impressed by Dallas Goedert’s stiff-arm touchdown

Valentine proved to be a nuisance despite the 6-foot-5, 256-pound stature, but eventually, Goedert’s strength overpowered the cornerback. The veteran scored a highlight-worthy six-pointer.

Fans were impressed by the show of strength from Goedert and named it the angriest touchdown ever.

The Packers shortened the lead through a Josh Jacobs one-yard touchdown, but back-to-back Jake Elliott field goals were enough for the Eagles to secure a victory.

Dallas Goedert ended the game with 4 catches for 47 yards and one touchdown. Jalen Hurts completed 13 passes from 21 attempts for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns along with 6 carries for 36 yards. Running back Saquon Barkley, who earlier set the Eagles single-season rushing yards record, had 25 carries for 119 yards.
