Dalton Kincaid will now realize what Mark Andrews has been going through for the last seven days. The Buffalo Bills’ second-year tight end dropped a crucial catch, ending the Bills’ chances of reaching the Super Bowl for the first time since the days of Jim Kelly.
Josh Allen snapped the ball on fourth down, aiming to go for a long pass to at least Tyler Bass, giving him the chance to kick a field goal to equalize for the Bills. Allen threw the ball right before the Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis and cornerback Justin Reid charged to close the door on the Bills quarterback.
Karlaftis landed a solid hit on Allen, but he released the ball in time while falling backwards. The ball reached the designated field goal range to open Dalton Kincaid.

The 25-year-old appeared to be unsettled as the ball dropped from the Kansas night sky. Kincaid fumbled the ball, turning the possession over to the Chiefs to go ahead and win the game.
Football fans are angry with Dalton Kincaid for dropping an easy catch
Kincaid stuck to his route right after the snap and found space, but had to drop back because Allen took time to throw the pass. By the time the ball reached the former first-round pick, he was already in the air, extending his body as far as he could, but the ball hit his arm and popped out.
Patrick Mahomes only needed to waste the remaining minute on the clock to win the game. The 2024 AFC Championship game finished 29-32 for the Chiefs. After the game, fans on social media blamed Kincaid for the Bills’ loss.
