Damar Hamlin now has two things to brag about to his kids. First is how he cheated death and the second is picking off seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady.
A video surfaced on social media where Brady plays catch with Hamlin and the Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons. Wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, and a white cap, the 46-year-old lobbed a pass aimed at a catcher, but the Buffalo Bills safety was in the way.
Hamlin effortlessly caught the ball and went bonkers. It’s definitely a memorable moment because when he broke through into the Bills roster, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was in his twilight. So, he never had the chance to play against Brady in an official game.

The 26-year-old’s reaction said it all. Just 18 months ago he was in a life-and-death battle, after collapsing in the AFC Championship game in Cincinnati. The medical team applied CPR and gave a defibrillator shock which kickstarted his heart.
Eventually, Damar Hamlin made a full recovery and became an advocate for CPR. He awarded the Pat Tillman Memorial award to the medical staff that saved his life at the EPSYs and was later nominated for the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of The Year award, which he lost to Joe Flacco.
Damar Hamlin visits a hospital in Missouri and calls it God’s work
On June 27, Hamlin dropped by at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield. He was there to promote a new program aimed at supporting those affected by cardiovascular conditions.

It’s always a special experience, walking into any hospital and visiting patients who may have experienced something similar to me. It’s just me doing my part and doing God’s work.Damar Hamlin said in an interview with FOX2Now in St. Louis
This resilience stems from his never-die attitude. After the Bills selected him in the 2021 Draft, Hamlin’s brother, who was 6 at that time, asked him whether the place he would move to had any beaches. He replied that there’s no such thing as beaches in Buffalo, but that did not matter because he was an NFL player.

From the debut till crashing out in the 2023 playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs, Hamlin sees it as a journey of emotion.
It was a journey of emotions [and] it was very tough at first, but the things that got me through were these two words right here, sitting right here, just Don't Quit.Damar Hamlin said back in February
Hamlin barely featured for the Bills post-recovery and is in line for a new contract. However, given the Bills’ tight budget, analysts believe that he may become one of the casualties of cap space.
