Damian Lillard joining Victor Wembanyama on sidelines with blood clot has fans shaking their heads: “Bucks fans got it rly rough man.”
Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo hoped to lead the Milwaukee Bucks into an NBA title fight this season.

After Victor Wembanyama, Damian Lillard has deep vein thrombosis
With the playoffs fast approaching, the Milwaukee Bucks are struggling to put together a form that can translate to the postseason. Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo want to win an NBA title together, but for that to happen, they have to hit their stride at the right moment.
For much of the season, they were the fourth best team in the East. They were jostling with the New York Knicks for a higher playoff spot. But late January to mid-February, they went through a string of losses that threatened their high seeding hopes.
After that they corrected course and went on a winning run. But six losses this month have made it difficult. Now they see themselves in fifth place after the Indiana Pacers overtook them. With eleven games left, the team needs to put together a strong run. But that is until this development came out.
Milwaukee Bucks: Damian Lillard has sustained a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in his right calf. Lillard is on blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the blood clot, and will continue with regular testing. He is out indefinite period.

This news flash from the ESPN analyst seemingly indicates that Damian Lillard will be out for the season. Even though they have not confirmed it, what happened to Victor Wembanyama should give the idea that Lillard will likely miss the playoffs.

If that does happen, the Bucks will struggle to survive beyond the second round. The top three teams in the East have the tools ready to fight for an NBA title. Without Lillard, the Bucks lose on scoring. The team do not have the pieces to replace him, that too this late in the season.
Fans shake their heads after Damian Lillard’s medical condition
As soon as this news came out, basketball fans were left shaking their heads. They know how much Damian Lillard was hoping to fight for an NBA title. At age 34, those chances are dwindling with every passing season.
Considering his age, this deep vein thrombosis might have an effect on his career. Chris Bosh had to step away from the game after repeated issues. Fans hope Lillard does not face that. Check out examples of those comments below.

Speedy recovery, Dame Dolla
Wow … First: hope Dame is able to recover well

Second: this is a damn shame and reminds me Giannis hinted towards looking elsewhere at the beginning of season if things don’t go right this year … never got to see this duo in the playoffs and it looks even more unlikely now
Giannas is gone man

bucks can’t stay healthy going into playoffs recurring theme for the past few years
The seven-time All-NBA selection wants to finish his Hall of Fame esque career with a championship. This season has not revealed any indication that the Milwaukee Bucks are championship ready. Hopefully the team fixes their roster problems in the offseason to help him reach that goal.
Bucks have tough questions to answer
Before Damian Lillard arrived at the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo had voiced his displeasure with the front office’s woes. They could not add pieces that would help him fight for more championships. Last season, chemistry issues plagued their season.
This time around, those issues should have been in the past. They did look like they had ironed out those finer details and played much better as a unit. All this while Khris Middleton struggled with his health. The team clearly needed a third option and then traded for Kyle Kuzma.
The former NBA champion has contributed to the team, but their record since his addition has not been that of a team that wants to contend for a title. They need to do better and probably are again struggling with chemistry issues.
Now with Lillard out, the problem the Bucks will have is to hope that the Greek Freak does not demand a trade out of the team. They need to keep him in the loop and work along with him in the offseason to ensure he is happy with the additions they bring in next season.
