Damian Lillard and Stephen Curry

As per a survey of the NBA GMs, Damian Lillard has got higher percentage of votes than Stephen Curry. The survey was about taking a clutch shot when the game is on the line. To everyone’s surprise Damian Lillard got 32%, whereas Stephen Curry only got 25%. The latter has marked his arrival with an ecstatic performance in the latest pre-season game for his franchise, draining six 3-pointers. Curry missed almost the entire 2019-20 season due to his arm injury.

On the other hand, Lillard has just had the best season of his career, having an average of 30 points and 8 assists. While shooting 40% on a stunning 10 attempts per game. Last season in the same survey being spoken about, Curry got 44%, whereas Lillard got only 11%. What a remarkable return from Dame Time, one could suggest, to establish himself alongside Curry.

Stephen Curry has shown his ability in the clutch situation. He has been the primary reason of dominance that led to the Golden State Warriors exceptional rise in the last decade. But one cannot count out Lillard when it comes to being clutch. He is the only player apart from Michael Jordan, to win two playoff series with a game-winner.

Having said that as the 2020-21 season is just around the corner, Damian Lillard has had a slow start in the pre-season. No assumptions are to be made in the pre-season being low-pressure game. But Stephen Curry has comparatively taken the Warriors without Wiseman and Green to a good start. The latter showed that the Dubs can be a powerhouse even without Klay Thompson.
