R-Truth is one of the funniest superstars in WWE history, often making even the most serious superstars break character. One of them is Damian Priest, who has been involved in several memorable backstage segments with the 52-year-old legend. The Archer of Infamy opened up about what it was like to work with him during his Judgment Day days.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, one-half of the Terror Twins expressed his desire to have R-Truth join his team someday. Damian Priest revealed that he was just as funny off-camera as he was on camera, calling him a naturally hilarious person. The former world champion admitted that what fans saw was genuine, which is why the veteran managed to get the better of him a few times.

Priest even shared a conversation he had with Triple H, who said that he had the worst poker face. The former world champion responded by saying that he felt helpless because Truth had that effect on everyone. One of the funny moments fans still remember is when the fan favorite veteran sold Judgment Day merchandise and gave Priest his fair share.

Everything you see on TV, that's real, that's why and it's clear as day that he broke me a few times. I remember Hunter also telling me, Hunter himself was laughing, saying 'you have the worst poker face around Truth', and I was like 'what am I supposed to do?' He does it to everybody, it is what it is.

The Punisher compared Truth and Carlito and said the current Judgment Day member was equally funny and loved working with both of them. Priest recently won the grudge-filled mixed tag team match with Rhea Ripley when they defeated Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan at Bash in Berlin. His rivalry with the new version of The Judgment Day and especially with Finn Balor is just getting started.

Damian Priest talked about what it was like to achieve success at the age of 41

Damian Priest made his WWE debut at the age of 35 as a new NXT star. He gradually climbed the ranks, winning titles such as the NXT North American Championship and the U.S. Championship along the way. He finally achieved success by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL, becoming the World Heavyweight Champion six years later.

In the same interview, Chris asked the 2023 Money in the Bank winner what it was like to achieve success at the age of 41. Priest said he didn’t think or feel that way and joked about how he was still immature in life. He added that once he starts to embrace maturity, he will be even better. With that statement, the former Judgment Day member assured that he was here to stay.

The world has changed. When people say my age loudly, it reminds me of like oh wow, I am really that age. But I don't think that way, I don't feel that way, maybe I'm just immature I don't know. Once I start getting stuff fixed, I'll be even better. So, I am not going anywhere.

Currently, he has been embroiled in a personal rivalry with Balor and the rest of The Judgment Day. The Prince was the same person who played an influential role in costing Priest the world title against Gunther at SummerSlam. Both stars share a long history and will likely square off against each other at the Bad Blood PLE.
