Give me Dan Campbell on the field with me, I’ll take it. Don’t put Dan Campbell on my sideline. I just don’t know, I don’t know the emotional control of this coachDan Campbell came into this league talking about being kicked down and biting on ankles and chewing on kneecapsThere’s no more — let me tell you, Detroit Lions fans, there’s no more ankles and kneecaps to bite. You’re on top. Start playing like it, and start coaching like it.

I just felt like we needed to end it on offense. I did not want to give that ball back. I believed we could get that. I believed we could convert. I trusted that O-Line, I trusted David, and they came through for us. I knew how I wanted to play this game. The team knew, and everything in me told me, ‘Let’s finish this.’ And we did.

Dan Campbell explained

Even though the limelight of the risky call was given to Campbell, as it worked, he did not forget to credit Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson and his players to make the criticism play call happen that sealed their eleventh straight victory, while leading the Super Bowl race.
